How is SmartInspect licensed?
SmartInspect is licensed per developer, or more precisely per library and Console user. This means that a license is required for each developer and staff member who uses the SmartInspect Console or develops an application with one of the SmartInspect libraries.
Shipping software with the SmartInspect libraries is royalty-free. Moreover, you can deploy the Redistributable Console (a feature-reduced version of the full Console) and the SmartInspect Router server to end-users at no additional cost.
SmartInspect licenses include one year of free support and updates. Additional support plan years can be purchased together with the initial SmartInspect licenses or when a support plan expires.

Our products are targeted at businesses and prices are therefore listed without VAT. European residents and German businesses will be charged 19% VAT.
SmartInspect licenses come with one year of free support and minor and major upgrades. You can choose to extend support for additional years when you place your order. Once your support plan ends, you can renew it to keep getting support and future product upgrades. Our support plans include:
- Free email and forum support
- Minor upgrades (ex: 2.1 → 2.2)
- Major upgrades (ex: 2.0 → 3.0)
We will automatically notify you when your support plan ends. If you wish to resume a support plan after it has ended, you may do so by paying for the period from the day it has ended.
