Integrating SmartInspect into Eclipse

The SmartInspect setup automatically generates a user library for easy integration into Eclipse. This article describes how to use the user library to integrate the SmartInspect Java library into Eclipse 3.x.

Eclipse 3.x

  • Open the IDE
  • Choose Preferences from the Window menu
  • Choose Java|Build Path|User Libraries from the tree
  • Press the Import button and import the SmartInspect.userlibraries file from the lib\java directory of your SmartInspect installation directory

Now, to use SmartInspect with one of your Java projects in Eclipse:

  • Choose Properties from the Project menu
  • Choose Java Build Path|Libraries and press the Add Library button
  • Choose User Library and press next
  • Select the previously added user library called SmartInspect and then press Finish
