Why quality assurance reports are as important as running tests:
The number one reason why QA reports are just as important as running tests is that you do not want to miss running a critical test. With new test cases being added to the test plan in each release that is easier said than done. Good reporting comes to the rescue.
A second point to consider is the actual information in a report. If a report generates lots of statistics, but you can’t draw any actionable conclusions from it, you might as well not look at it.
TestRail’s QA reporting has been carefully designed to provide you with relevant information at just the right level of detail so that you can make the right decisions about your project. At a glance you can see completed test runs, how many tests have failed, and which tests have yet to be run. You can aggregate reports for projects or selected milestones, and if needed, you can also drill down to individual test runs.
